WILSON & HEYWOOD GALLERY ANNOUNCES FREE VISUAL LECTURE SERIES

The Wilson & Heywood Gallery is pleased to announce its first winter Visual Lecture Series. “Our Artistic Journeys”, “On Cape Cod: Nature Preserved”, and “American Women in Art” are the three fun and educational talks that kick off this annual event.

“Our Artistic Journeys” features the work of the gallery’s co-owners, the color photography of Ronald Wilson and the paintings of Anne Heywood. Each artist will explain, with pictures and firsthand stories, the path that led to his/her particular artistic style, and the creativity behind the work.

The second lecture in the series, “Cape Cod: Nature Preserved”, presented by Wilson, showcases, through his beautiful color photography, the diversity of natural features found in the landscape of Cape Cod and the Islands.

The third lecture, “American Women in Art”, is presented by artist Heywood and focuses on nine prominent American women who lived from the mid-19th to the mid-20th century, and whose work influenced the future of American art.

The Wilson & Heywood Gallery is located at 17 Main Street in Plymouth, and is the newest fine art gallery in Plymouth.

“Our Artistic Journeys” will be presented at the gallery on Friday, January 30th at 6:30 p.m. The second presentation, “On Cape Cod: Nature Preserved”, is scheduled for February 27th at 6:30 p.m. and the third presentation, “American Women in Art”, will take place on March 20th at 6:30 p.m. All lectures are free, but reservations are required and seating is limited.

To reserve your place, call the gallery at 508.732.0170 or stop by the Wilson & Heywood Gallery, open 11 – 5 Wednesday - Sunday, and leave your name and telephone number.

The deadline for “Our Artistic Journeys” reservations is January 25th.
